Brian Paddick manifesto

Brian Paddick

“If I can’t cut crime and make our streets safer I’ll quit.”

London is my city. I’ve lived here all my life.

I spent over 30 years working to help improve lives in communities across the capital. I worked my way up from Police Constable on the beat to become one of London’s most senior police officers. Over that time, I’ve gained a unique insight into our city and the diverse communities that live here.

Everywhere I go, Londoners tell me how concerned they are about rising crime, especially knife crime. They also tell me that they are fed up paying record high fares on public transport for poor services.

People are saying that they want a change.

Our city needs a Mayor who is in touch with the everyday lives of millions of Londoners. A Mayor who will get things done for us.

As London’s Mayor, I will take action to make our streets safer. I will do my best to improve our transport system and to protect our environment.

This is our city. With your support, I will deliver the change our city needs.

Best Wishes,
Brian Paddick
Liberal Democrat Candidate for Mayor of London

Serious solutions for London

Action to cut crime

Every month we see more senseless loss of life on London’s streets. Brian Paddick has thirty years experience fighting crime in London.

Brian’s top priority is to get the knives and guns off our streets. “Nothing is more important than the safety of Londoners,” says Brian. “We need to bring communities and police together to fight crime.”

Brian is fighting to stop the closure of smaller police stations across the capital.

Action to improve transport

Londoners are paying some of the highest transport fares in the world, often for poor services.

Brian will bring forward a costed plan to bring London’s transport system into the 21st century.

Priorities include improving bus services, especially in those areas outside the tube network. New technology will be introduced to provide better information to passengers about services.

Brian will make our transport network safer for all.

Action on housing and environment

As Mayor, Brian will work hard to provide more affordable homes for Londoners. He will launch a war on homelessness on our streets.

Brian is passionate about protecting London’s precious environment for future generations of Londoners.

Brian is opposed to Heathrow expansion. “We need more trains and less planes,” says Brian Paddick. “I want to make London into one of the greenest capitals in the world.”
