The results of the 2008 Mayoral and London Assembly results have
been announced.
The winner of the Mayoral contest is Boris Johnson who gained a
total of 1,168,738 first and second choice votes. Ken Livingstone
came second with 1,028,966 votes.
In the London Assembly the Conservative Party gained 2 seats,
the Labour Party gained 1 seat, the Green Party held on to
their 2 seats, the Liberal Democrats lost 2 seats, and the BNP
gained one seat, whilst One London lost their 2 seats.
